GORIYAKU *GORIYAKU* The waters will bring you good fortune from the Gods. The health village for daytime bathing, Goriyaku was established on the bank of the river 800m upstream from Awamata Waterfall and Takimi En. The village boasts open air baths and a restaurant. 　We wanted to construct a place that would bring health and balance to the body and mind of our guests. 　Our philosophy is based the old Edo period teachings of satoyama bunka and kawamawashi, the pursuit of comfortable space in modern society. 　Why not forget the daily bustle and come and search for a small piece of goriyaku ? *KAWAMAWASHI* Artificially changing the flow of a river by digging tunnels etc. to make maximum use of the available land. *THE EDO PERIOD* 1603〜1867.
